Role Overview
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical design reviews, site execution, coordination with consultants and authorities, and ensure compliance with UAE mechanical standards. The role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record delivering medium to large‑scale MEP projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering activities across design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Review HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑fighting system drawings and technical submittals.
- Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations (DM, DCD, ADDC, SEWA).
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Prepare engineering reports, progress updates, and documentation.
- Support project planning, material approvals, and procurement processes.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Mandatory UAE experience in MEP contracting or construction.
- Minimum 8–12 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire‑fighting, and authority requirements.
- Proven experience managing mechanical works for medium to large‑scale UAE projects.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
