ABOUT THE ROLE
The group is seeking a senior procurement leader to build and run the procurement function from scratch – covering materials, equipment, and subcontractor sourcing to support major infrastructure delivery across Syria
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement a group-wide procurement strategy
- Establish and manage a reliable supplier and vendor network locally and internationally
- Lead negotiations on supply agreements, framework contracts, and subcontracts
- Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and delivery standards
- Oversee inventory management and coordinate logistics to project sites
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements
- Build, manage, and mentor the procurement team
- Report procurement performance, spend analytics, and supplier KPIs to management
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years in procurement, 4+ years in senior leadership within construction or infrastructure
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering
- Deep knowledge of construction materials, equipment procurement, and subcontracting
- Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills
- Proficient in ERP systems and procurement analytics tools
- Fluent in Arabic; English is a strong advantage
