About the role

We are building Syria’s first large-scale e-commerce marketplace and we need talented Frontend Developers to craft the digital storefront that millions of Syrian shoppers will use every day. From product discovery and search to checkout and order tracking, your code will be the face of the platform.

As a Frontend Developer, you will work in a fast-paced agile squad alongside backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to build pixel-perfect, high-performance, and accessible web experiences. You care deeply about user experience, write clean and maintainable code, and take pride in shipping features that real people love to use.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain high-quality, responsive, and performant frontend features for the web platform
Translate UI/UX designs from Figma into clean, accessible, and pixel-perfect React components
Develop reusable component libraries and design system implementations for consistency across the platform
Optimize frontend performance — Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies
Implement Arabic (RTL) layout support and ensure a seamless bilingual user experience across the platform
Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints with clean state management using Redux or React Query
Write unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library
Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and technical design discussions
Work within agile sprints — estimating tasks, attending standups, and delivering to agreed timelines
Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and data structures
Monitor and resolve frontend bugs, performance regressions, and cross-browser compatibility issues
Continuously improve frontend architecture, tooling, and developer experience

Requirements

3–6 years of professional frontend development experience with React.js and modern JavaScript
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and component-based architecture
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
Experience with Next.js — SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router patterns
Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
Experience with state management libraries — Redux, Zustand, or React Query
Strong understanding of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals
Familiarity with RTL (right-to-left) layout implementation for Arabic interfaces
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews)
Comfortable working in agile/scrum environments with cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

Experience building large-scale e-commerce or marketplace platforms with high traffic volumes
Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture and module federation
Experience with A/B testing frameworks (Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or similar)
Knowledge of SEO best practices for server-side rendered React applications
Contributions to open source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio
Experience with Web Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design
