ABOUT THE ROLE
The Asphalt Plant Manager will oversee full operations of the asphalt mixing plant, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality output, and strict safety compliance to support the group’s road and infrastructure projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all day-to-day asphalt plant operations to meet production targets
- Ensure mix designs meet engineering specifications through rigorous quality testing
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Coordinate production schedules with project teams for timely site supply
- Lead and train plant operators, technicians, and support staff
- Enforce HSE standards and conduct regular safety inspections
- Manage procurement and inventory of bitumen, aggregates, and additives
- Maintain production logs and report on plant performance
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in asphalt plant operations, 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- In-depth knowledge of asphalt mix designs and production processes
- Hands-on experience with drum mix and batch-type asphalt plants
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements in plant environments
- Fluent in Arabic; technical English is an advantage
